What is Accreditation to the Laboratory Industry?

Accreditation is defined as the formal recognition of the competence of a laboratory to perform specific functions. It is granted to a laboratory that has completed rigorous on-site audits and meets all other requirements of accreditation including satisfactory performance of proficiency testing.

Our Accreditation

AGAT Laboratories employs top quality assurance professionals who strive to improve the overall quality of service that we provide. This Quality Assurance Department monitors the operations of the company and ensures compliance with internationally recognized standards, policies and procedures.

AGAT Laboratories is accredited for specific tests as listed in the laboratory’s current scope of accreditation by the following organizations:

  • The Standards Council of Canada (SCC)
  • The Canadian Association for Laboratory Accreditation (CALA)
  • British Standards Institution Canada (BSI)

AGAT Laboratories is accredited, for specific tests, to the following standard:

  • ISO/IEC 17025:2017

AGAT Laboratories is certified to the following standard:

  • ISO 9001:2015
