Most recently serving as National Lead, Strategic Growth – Mining, Matthew has demonstrated a strong ability to identify market opportunities, cultivate strategic relationships and drive business growth across the mining sector. His extensive industry knowledge, market intelligence and client-focused approach have been instrumental in strengthening AGAT’s position within the Metals & Minerals industry.
With a background in Environmental Science and experience spanning environmental monitoring, geotechnical testing and laboratory operations, Matthew brings a valuable combination of technical understanding and commercial insight. His ability to anticipate industry trends, understand evolving client needs and translate market opportunities into business development strategies has contributed to AGAT’s continued growth and expansion.
In his new role as Vice President, Strategic Growth – Mining, Matthew will lead the strategic direction and business development efforts of AGAT’s Mining division, with a focus on expanding market share, strengthening key client relationships and identifying new opportunities across Canada’s mining sector. His leadership will be particularly important as AGAT continues to expand its presence in critical minerals and hard rock mining, leveraging our national laboratory network to support the evolving needs of the industry.

His industry relationships, commercial perspective and understanding of the mining landscape will be valuable assets as we position the division for long-term growth.
