AGAT Foundation
Since 2020, the AGAT Foundation has been focused on a mission to uplift people and communities through philanthropy. Supporting numerous causes including cancer research, community social programs, and education, in 2025 the annual Charity Classic golf tournament raised $1.9 million for important community programs led by the Alberta Cancer Foundation and the Prostate Cancer Centre. In equal measure, the Foundation also uses its platform to promote Canadian challenges including men’s health, homelessness, and cancer treatment technology through education and financial support.

Research & Development
Aligned with a mission to provide Service Beyond Analysis, budget and effort is allocated towards developing new methods of testing and helpful tools for Canadian industries. We’ve had recent success in trials of a new method of core sample analysis known as CRISP — Cyclically Restored In Situ Petrophysics. This proprietary method was developed in partnership with AGAT experts and industry peers. CRISP is just one example of our collaborative research-based programs — we’re always looking for partners to expand research methodologies. In addition, recent developments in carbon capture — under the Energy Horizons banner — has seen AGAT pair carbon management services and an extensive knowledge of government regulations with a client map and info tool to support CCS & CCUS project planning in Alberta.
