Sampling Documents

Welcome to AGAT’s Sampling Documents page. This hub provides critical information to ensure that your samples are properly collected, preserved, and submitted for analysis. Here, you will find Chain of Custody forms for all divisions, including Environmental, Mining, and Food Testing, as well as detailed guidelines on the correct use of preservatives, containers, and sample hold times. In addition, you will find best practices for packing coolers, instructions for methanol field stabilization, expected turnaround times, and long-term storage agreements. These resources are designed to support the integrity of your samples, facilitating accurate and dependable results. Please explore the links below for division-specific requirements and instructions.

Chain Of Custody

Chain of Custody (COC) forms are provided with each sampling kit and can be customized upon request. Complete instructions of analysis, reporting requirements and a signed Chain of Custody Form must be provided at the time of sample submission.

Customized COC forms will be developed to reflect local regulations and preferences.  Our Logistical Control Division ensure that COC forms are properly completed including noting the temperature of coolers upon receipt and whether or not the custody seal is intact upon arrival at an AGAT facility. Please visit our Locations page for a list of AGAT facilities for sample drop off.
