AGAT Laboratories is pleased to announce the promotion of Andrea Canning to the position of Laboratory Manager – Inorganics at our Dartmouth, NS location. In this role, Andrea will oversee analytical operations, maintain excellence in quality assurance, and support the growth of AGAT’s environmental services throughout the Atlantic region.
Andrea began her journey with AGAT Laboratories in 2016 and played a pivotal role in launching our St. John’s, NL laboratory in 2018. As the sole lab personnel at the time, she spearheaded method development, validation, and accreditation audits—establishing the foundation for operational success.
In 2020, Andrea transitioned to our Dartmouth location, joining the Client Services team. She advanced from Project Coordinator to Senior Client Services Representative, and most recently served as Team Lead – Client Services Atlantic. In each of these roles, Andrea has demonstrated Service Beyond Analysis, consistently balancing technical expertise with a client-focused mindset.
Andrea holds a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry from Saint Mary’s University and brings a robust combination of laboratory and client service experience to her new leadership role. Her comprehensive knowledge and dedication will be essential as we continue to elevate service delivery and analytical excellence across Eastern Canada.
